The beating of the drums and the tingling sounds of the trumpets heralded the 8th SUMAYAJAW FESTIVAL in  Jabonga, Agusan del Norte on August 15, 2009, the Feast day of its Town Patroness, Our Lady of Assumption. The festival was marred by the drizzling rain but even then, the gaiety of the participants and spectators continued. |

Women’s Enhancement Center Inaugurated |

A formal turn-over of the newly constructed Women’s Enhancement Center donated by Sangguniang Panlalawigan  Member, Hon. Sadeka Tomaneng, took place last August 6, 2009 at the Government Center in Magallanes, Agusan del Norte. The center was realized through the efforts of the Local Lady Legislator’s League (4L) investing the Fifty Thousand Pesos (Php 50,000.00) which Board Member Tomaneng handed to Vice Mayor Meriam Pagaran for the construction of such center. Board Member Tomaneng was even surprised that the mere Php 50,000.00 she gave away for the Women’s enhancement center for Magallanes was realized so soon. |
