CEMONC Facility To Rise At The PHO Grounds |

To improve the capability of the Agusan del Norte Provincial Hospital (ADNPH) on maternal and child health care, the Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Esperanza I. Cabral spearheaded the ground breaking ceremony for the Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care (CEMONC) facility – Phase 1-A last May 5, 2010 at the PHO grounds in Libertad, Butuan City.
The CEMONC facility, with a budget of P25 million, is a 2-storey building comprising 6 private rooms and a 2 ten-bed capacity wards for the first floor and OR/DR complexes plus a 32-bed OB-GYNE wards at the second floor, all with new sink and comfort rooms per ward. “Next year, we will be celebrating the 100th year of ADNPH and it is a long cherished dream of all Agusanons to upgrade our health care facilities here. Thanks to Her Excellency Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo for giving us this opportunity through the efforts of then DOH Sec. Francisco Duque and now with Sec. Cabral. We hope that DOH will continue to support more of our health care projects in the near future,” said Ms. Racho in behalf of Gov. Erlpe John M. Amante. The said event was attended by Vice Governor Enrico R. Corvera, Provincial Administrator Percianita G. Racho, DOH-Caraga Dir. Leonita P. Gorgolon with Dr. Ceasar Cassion, Dr. Eduardo S. Gonzales of PhilHealth, PHO-II Dr. Elizabeth N. Campado, Municipal Health Officers, PHO doctors and health workers with DOH Undersecretary Dr. David J. Lozada, Jr. |
