Multi-Sectoral Advocacy Campaign on Downstream Oil Industry conducted
The Department of Energy (DOE), in partnership with the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Caraga, conducted a Multi-Sectoral Advocacy Campaign on Downstream Oil Industry on March 30, 2016 at Almont Inland Hotel, Butuan City.
This is under the Communication Initiatives Program being managed and implemented by the DOE through its Oil Industry Management Bureau (OIMB).
The advocacy campaign aimed to create and capacitate a critical mass of communicators/media practitioners that would serve as conduits in disseminating the benefits and developments in the industry.
Province transfers lot ownership to RTR homeowners
The provincial government of AgusandelNorte, with the efforts of Provincial Governor Ma. Angelica Rosedell “Angel” M. Amante-Matba, is set to transfer the ownership of parcels of land it owns located at Barangay Poblacion 2, RTR, this province, to the fully paid vendees of said land under the Local Housing Program.
It can be recalled that in 2002, a Tripartite Memorandum of Agreement executed by and among the province, the National Housing Authority (NHA), the Office of the 2nd District of Agusan del Norte represented by the late Honorable Congressman Edelmiro A. Amante and the provincial government of Agusan del Norte represented by Governor Angel, identified a certain property in Barangay Poblacion 2, RTR, this province, with an area of more or less 18,004 square meters as site for the socialized housing project intended for the RTR Homeowners Association that will benefit 96 bonafide members.
P1M for Barangay Cahayagan relocation site ok’d
The provincial government of Agusan del Norte is set to purchase a parcel of an agricultural land in Barangay Cahayagan, Carmen, this province with an area of 10,369 square meters amounting to P1,000,000.00 for the relocation site of said barangay.
Barangay Cahayagan has not enough funds for the purchase of the said relocation sight, thus, the Barangay Council headed by Punong Barangay Isagani A. Pajardo requested for financial assistance from the province. As part of the priority programs of the provincial government, the province addressed the needs of the said barangay for the improvement of the barangay and the lives of the constituents.
